Disadvantaged Teenagers

Children who are forced to leave the orphanage at about 17 years old, find it most difficult to survive. They lack the skills and training needed for gainful employment. They do not have the resources of other family members to help during difficult times. Employers are very skeptical of someone who has no parents and do not want to that the risk of employing someone they cannot trust. Solutions to this situation are desperately needed but difficult to secure. Research is being conducted on a transitional program for Disadvantaged Youth. This program would take teenagers from the orphanage system and place thme in a training system where they would receive room and board during the 2 year training course. Included would be opportunities to not only learn a marketable skill, but how to interact with the public in running a small business. There projects take a great deal of resources and revenues, but the result are very rewarding for the provider and the recipient.
